On March 3, ChannelPro Network hosted the first-ever Business Management Online Summit. It was a full day of content that was designed to increase efficiency and growth for small and medium-sized IT businesses. The summit covered everything you need to know about sales, marketing operations, financial management, and HR. This is the second of five online live events planned for 2021.

Paul Dippell, CEO at Service Leadership ( ) was the keynote speaker. He spoke on “What Makes Great MSPs Great?” Service Leadership is a leading solution provider and IT vendor consultancy. It also publishes the Service Leadership Index(r), which is the most important industry benchmark.

Rich Freeman, the executive editor at The ChannelPro Network, stated that channel pros who survived and thrived in the pandemic are known for their smart business acumen. We provided concrete, actionable advice to attendees by bringing together industry-leading financial and business experts such as Paul Dippell and others.

The conference also featured educational sessions:

Labor Cost Management Mastery – Rayanne Buchianico, a financial consultant, and Manuel Palachuk, a business coach and author, led attendees through how to optimize labor costs in the final months of the pandemic.

Sales Meeting Obstructions and Answers– Two well-known sales coaches Gil Cargill (founder and CEO of Cargill Consulting Group) and Erick Scott (founder and chief strategist at ErickSimpson.com), addressed audience questions regarding top objections they received during sales calls, and offered tips to counter them.

Pricing and Packaging Mastery – Nigel Moore is the author and founder The Tech Tribe community. Rex Frank is a business coach who shared techniques for bundling services and setting prices.

Peer-to-Peer: Manage people like the pros. In Q&As, Mike Fowler CEO of Iconic IT, and Ben Niernberg COO at MNJ Technologies shared how they instill in their employees the desire to work hard, give back, and create enduring careers.


Attendees also toured the interactive vendor booth and had networking opportunities.

Matt bridges the gap between legacy technology environments and practical future state success. He has a rare ability to meet the customer where they are and build high integrity, cost effective plans to help technology teams function better. He has even been called a CTO/CIO whisperer. His command of best practices comes from his 14+ years of experience as a leader within the Fortune 19 company – Marathon Petroleum Corporation.

Matt is a Management Information Systems (MIS) graduate from Kent State University. Matt is all about family and invests his free time into them while enjoying coaching and Disney World adventures. Matt is also an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
