WHO WE SERVE

Managed IT Services for Education

MNJ Technologies offers a full range of managed IT services for education, including cloud, security, network, connectivity, and technology sourcing support.

Accelerated Digital Transformation

The pandemic accelerated digital transformation in education. Overnight courses went from in-person to online, and teachers were forced to convert lectures to videos and create digital handouts, tests, and quizzes.

Higher education is transforming to smart campuses using the latest IoT technology. This transformation includes smart HVAC and lighting to keep costs down. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is on the rise for teaching assistance, advanced analysis of students’ performance, IoT data, and much more.

Operationally education institutions need to automate admissions, registration, program development, and quality assurance in addition to managing facilities and scheduling.

Cloud Services

The cloud is enabling a rapid transformation of education. Cloud-based education platforms improve access to resources, making it easier for students to consume course materials regardless of devices or internet browsers.  These technologies also enable better communications between teachers, students, and administration.

Higher education is moving legacy data centers to the cloud, reducing cost, minimizing maintenance, and achieving better scalability.  The move to the cloud also makes it easier to keep critical apps current and reduces edge computing requirements. This move, in turn, enables educators to embrace faster change and greater participation.

As education continues modernizing IT infrastructure, they seek partners like MNJ to help them gain greater control of IT resource usage and increase the velocity of digital transformation. MNJ is also helping education achieve greater agility and flexibility in meeting new and ever-changing student and administration requirements.

MNJ’s managed IT services for education include customized managed connectivity solutions to meet each school’s specific needs.

Connectivity Services

Internet connectivity to support distance and hybrid learning has been crucial during the pandemic. If students can’t access their classes, teachers, or assignments, they are significantly disadvantaged. The FCC estimated 14.5 million Americans did not have broadband access in 2020, and recent studies indicate the actual number may be closer to 42 million.

“One of the biggest challenges facing education right now is the digital divide, which is leaving many students without access to broadband connectivity,” says Renee Patton, Global Director of Education and Healthcare at Cisco. “The pandemic shined a bright light on the lack of access students have to learning resources from home.”

Education needs to provide more reliable internet access, expand investments in device lending, and increase technology support. MNJ has a team of experienced IT professionals and relationships with over sixty carriers. We’re well-positioned to meet education’s increasing Internet access demands and support device lending and device support.

Network Services

As more and more students consume network resources, the need to replace legacy network infrastructure and build a stronger network foundation has become paramount. The adoption of IoT to reduce HVAC and lighting costs increases the need for reliable networks.

Education institutions want to provide an excellent student experience with a robust and secure Wi-Fi network. To do this, they need visibility to network traffic patterns and bottlenecks. Most importantly, they need to do all this without increasing IT cost.

MNJ provides skilled people, automated processes, and management tools to deliver consistent network performance. Our solutions offer high performance and availability to meet today’s student and teacher needs and the bandwidth to enable education transformation.

MNJ offers expertise and advanced threat intelligence to assist education institutions with cybersecurity support.

Security Services

Education has come under attack by cybercriminals using ransomware and other malware. A recent example is the one at the University of Calgary, where the institution allegedly paid a ransom to cybercriminals. And ransomware caused a Minnesota School District to shut down for the day.

Even more disturbing are breaches where student security and safety are threatened. Educational institutions are entrusted with the safety of students, but weak cybersecurity practices often put them at risk. Education needs to ensure its IT infrastructure is secure to safeguard students and staff.

MNJ offers expertise and advanced threat intelligence to help education institutions manage risk and protect their teachers, students, staff, and reputation. Our experience in education allows us to quickly engineer solutions that are compliant, secure, and enable a great educational experience.
